What can I say I have seen this guy numerous times and have never been disappointed , why because Mike (Deko-ze) puts 110% into every performance (yes I said performance) because if you ever seen Deko-ze play you know that he puts on a great show , dancing and smashing his head like fucking animal or maybe he might take his shirt off and yell at the crowd ,you really never know what your in store for when Deko-ze comes to town.

Well it has been a long time since I have seen my boy ADDY play since I dont have alot of time to go to Toronto because of my crazy schedule but on Friday Feb 7th Glow Guys Entertainment , Allure Entertainment and Onezie birng back to hamilton one of my favorite beasts of a dj ADDY. Back in the day i use to go to the Guv (Guverment ) in Toronto to see Addy play and was never disappointed. This guy was unreal on the decks ,you never knew what was coming up next and when Addy plays on 4 decks look the fuck out. Addy has a very distinct sound and really knows how to hype up the crowd wether he is playing a small intimate party like this friday inside the O-Lounge or at BPM in Mexico he knows how to read a crowd which takes years of skill and commitment. Saturday January 25th the Annual FunknStyle Jam
Every
year local DJ's get together to
celebrate the life of our friend Jonathan Williams,otherwise know in the DJ community as FunkNstyle. This night is jam packed with
great DJ's spinning the best in
funky breaks and house. I have been a part of this amazing event 9 years and
counting. I must say, it’s one of my favourite parties to play, let loose and
catch up with all my industry friends. All proceeds from the door will be
donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association. If you know what’s good for
you, you’ll come out and support this great cause.

you’re into the latest in EDM, love
drinking Jagger, shaking your head and getting right down dirty on the dance
floor then you need to check out Electric Saturdays with DJ Chaotic. Chaotic is not only a well-known DJ in the Hamilton area, but a great
producer in the studio. You may also recognize his handle from his radio show
on Gum Fm. I first met Chaotic in the summer when DJing along side him on the Allure Boat Cruise. Having been
involved in the underground music scene for
over 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of DJ's who think
their shit don;t stink. Generally,
conversations with these individuals revolve entirely around them, "Hey
bro, guess where I'm spinning
this weekend?" This is ususally followed up by incessant ‘name dropping.’
Well, I hate to break it to ya, but guess what BRO…I truly don't give a shit. Sorry
for going off topic there but my buddy Chaotic is
not even close to being that type of DJ. Instead, he is very educated in the ‘do’s and
donts' of the scene (not to mention very busy in the studio producing and
running his weekly events inside Ceili House
in Hess Village). Check out his weekly residency

AM Undrgrnd - After Hours
What
can I say? It’s been way too long since Hamilton has had an after hours club. Let
me be the first to say “THANK F*#*ING GOD”.
Back in 2008 I was one of the rotating resident DJ's alongside my friend MK DJing at
the Underground. We were very fortunate to bring in not just local talent but
the best in Toronto as well. This roster was stacked: Carlo Lio, Addy, Fabian Strong, Flipside, The Junkies…just to name a few. The
launch of the night was a success, but slowly diminished due to lack of
promotion by the club and ignorant security not admitting paying customers.
Back then, the city was having a hard time allowing these type of events to
take place and would do anything to stop them. Such tactics included undercover
officers being sent in to scan the nightclub, among various other ‘staffing
issues’ (NO COMMENT!)
Despite
all this, it looks like the AM Undrgrnd has
a promising future with Club 77. These weekly EDM nights take place upstairs and
have become great promotion for the club downstairs as well. The man in
charge of booking the talent for this night is a good friend of mine, Hugo Matos. Mr.Matos, well-known for throwing his Allure Entertainment parties, has been the
most successful promoter/ DJ in the
Hamilton scene for the past 4 years. There is no stopping him, he not only
promotes parties, he's been booked to DJ at notable nightclubs such as, Footwork , The Guverment, O-lounge, and Pacha New
York just to name a few. This
man has been fortunate enough to DJ beside some of the biggest names in
the
biz. Hugo is very well respected by the club industry because he puts
110% into
his events at all times and is very reliable with his talent (heads up
to all
of you kiddies out there calling yourselves promoters and telling your
DJs they are required to bring at least 40 people to play at their club.
You can bite my ball sack. Take
note you douchebags, Hugo is the real deal).
With
the opening of AM Undrgnd, this
city is finally welcoming electronic music rather than fighting it. One thing
that stands out with Hugo is that he is an all encompassing supporter within
the industry, he understands that there are other events in and around the area
and realizes that if promoters work together as opposed to merely competing
against one another, there will be more of these successful events. In which
case, we all win.
I’ve
yet to attend one of these parties myself, however, when I tried to make it in for
Hugo's birthday the line was Massive. BUT, this tells me one thing… IT
IS BUMPIN' INSIDE!
I
know the sound system really well because back
in the day we hired a friend of ours who was a professional sound engineer to
set up the proper sound in the club, it took a while but man, Brian Cassiano worked his magic and the club
was SMASHING with the
dirtiest basslines that belong
in big underground clubs in Toronto. Needless to say, I
know where I'm gonna be on

Hello Everybody I am Back on the Saddle again lol, Well I know its been a year since my last post and I am sorry for keeping you all waiting with the suspense but im back and better then ever. Thanks to my buddy Flipside for pushing me to get back into things. We are into 2013 a lot' has changed in electronic music , Deadmau5 and Hawtin did a little tour together to talk about technology that they use in thier shows , alot of djs have switched from playing cd's to MIDI based equipment and Justin Bieber is trying to get a residency in Ibiza " Lets hope to God this does not happen". I will never forget the night the first time I saw Deko-ze spin. It was in Hamilton at Lush nightclub, the vibe around me was great. I remember the place was just packed with people partying ,drinking and having a great time.I got to the club around 1:30 in the morning with my cousin Paul. I had no idea what was in store for me that night. I make my way to the bar to grab me and my cousin a beer and as I'm waiting for my drink I strike up a conversation with gentlemen named Michael ( djM.K). Now at this point I have been waiting at the bar for about 5 mins and still no drink , i ask M.K who is the guest dj tonight ,DEKO-ZE he replies, I tell M.K that I have heard of him before but never seen him in action. M.K points to the end of the bar and says "there he is go introduce yourself ,Say Hi " ok I guess so. As I make my way down to the end of the bar I notice that Deko-ze is by his self , so I start up a conversation with Deko-ze by introducing myself to him. Deko-ze is a very humbled individual, very soft in speech and as I keep talking his ear off (I dont really remember what i was saying but I prob told him that i was a dj ), Deko-ze asked me for the time I told him it was 1:50 , "Oh sorry Angelo but I need to get ready enjoy the rest of your night and great talking to ya" says Deko-ze. Time Check ****2 O'Clock**** everyone starts to cheer Deko-ze,Deko-ze,Deko-ze,Deko-ze ,and Bammmmmmmmmm ,he starts his set with a banging intro , followed with one of my most favourite tracks (A bit patchy by Switch),as soon as the bass kicks in Deko-ze's face lights up with the biggest smile and starts jumping up and down like a mad man , moving his little bald head back and forth (YES THE FAMOUS DEKO-ZE HEAD BOB). The break down in the track starts up ,followed by one of the most twisted basslines ,at this point the whole fucking room is going off. Tune after Tune Deko-ze just kept smashing into our faces we were all his puppets that night possessed by his music, my legs just wouldn't let me stop.Time check (OMG 5AM AND IM STILL FUCKING DANCING ) Deko-ze drops his last track of the Morning **** A LOVE BIZARRE BY SO PHAT****. One of funnest nights I have ever had .
Deko-ze is known all over the world for his Famous dj sets , he takes you on a journey and is one of the only djs that still likes to drop those old school tracks that bring you back. On Oct 10th thanksgiving weekend Pauly D was invited to play the Hamilton Convention Center. The Event has been in the works for at least 3 months that I have known about. Every where I looked from mohawk college to hess village downtown Hamilton this was a very well promoted show. I did not attend the show because of you know THANKSGIVING but a couple of my boys where djing, Jordan Vesh and Buckeye Red. I kept getting messages on my facebook acoount about this event I even turned on the radio and heard it being promoted on Z103.5 with dj danny d. But I awoke this morning in utter discomfort reading about how disrespectful Mr Pauly d was to Hamilton Fans.
His Fans paid up to $61 for vip passes to meet Mr Pauly D but never gt to meet him since the jack ass shows up around 130am and was supposed to be there around 11 pm. Acording to the article that I read Mr Pauly d then talked to the promoter asking for an additional 20,000 25000+20000=45000 . JEsus thats a shit load of money and he only stayed for 40 mins.
